Causes of Global Warming Are You Part of a Cause?
The real causes of global warming stem from a variety of industries around the world. Global Warming is caused by the growing amounts of carbon emitted into the atmosphere. The majority of these emissions come from developing or first world countries. Deforestation and transportation are important causes of excess carbon. Despite this the
Natural Global Warming
cycle is responsible to some extent for the planets increase in temperature. However the leading cause of global warming is the production of energy. On average, 40% of the United Sates carbon emissions come from burning fossil fuels. Coal amounts for the majority of this energy production. Unfortunately, as the demand continues to grow so does the supply. Energy emissions amount for much more than the totals of flying or driving. On the upside alternative energy sources are slowly becoming more popular around the world. Until this industry seriously changes its methods the future of energy production can be seen as very similar to what is now.
Despite a lower 20% of carbon emissions coming from cars this is the most humiliating cause for us. New SUVS will emit three or four times more gases into the atmosphere than say a Honda Insight. SUVS were built for the rugged terrains. However when brought into gridlock traffic in major cities it’s truly embarrassing the impact they have.
As the planet’s population grows so does the need for energy, food, transportation, housing and clothing. Ultimately as we take and take the Earth’s condition only gets worse as we can not return what we have taken.
