Global Warming Causes Floods Because?
Why? Global warming causes floods because of a variety of issues. As record amounts of carbon dioxide and methane are released into the atmosphere the Earth’s average temperature has slowly began to increase. This can result in an increase in ocean temperature which in turn is cause for more tropical storms, tsunamis and rainstorms.

Furthermore as the planet heats up this causes temperatures to rise farther north. The most southwardly glacier bodies are unable to maintain their form with even the slightest increase in temperature. This results in melting of many glacier bodies and in turn a higher sea level around the world. Some sources even predict a large amount of costal inhabited land to be flooded within the century. Numerous scientists even predict a sea level increase of up to one meter within the next hundred years.
In addition to the flooding of land masses this increase in temperature and tropical storms could cause a number of other problems. Malaria outbreaks in new areas, is a possible outcome. Also the extinction of different species due to the same increase in temperature is a predictable problem down the road.
