Global Warming Facts Myths. Questions Answered.

With the number of global warming facts myths and scandals out there some come across as very shocking. We've all heard them, "Global warming could submerge much of the coastal land mass within 20 years." Many are based on one study when all the rest state otherwise, some are completely fabricated and some are scientifically true.

MYTH: Additional carbon gas combined with hotter temperatures in the atmosphere will be beneficial to our environment. It will increase crop growth and reduce cold related illnesses.

FACT: It is true that global warming stimulates crop growth in some situations. However, the cons far outweigh the pros. Additional heat and climate change related diseases are also spread by global warming including malaria. Both the economy and wildlife already face serious challenges due to global warming.

MYTH: Taking drastic action against climate change will hamper the economy.

FACT: If we are willing to make the investment in green energy it would create thousands of new jobs as well as promote further technical advances. There may however, be a loss of employment in some sectors (auto industry for example) causing the economy to balance its self.

MYTH: The earth has been heating up and cooling for millions of years. Isn't this part of a natural process why are we so worried?

FACT: Never before have the inhabitants of Earth emitted so much green house gas into the atmosphere. This time it's partly our fault.

During the 19th century the poles did experience similar temperatures to the present. Yet, this time we have so much non natural C02 in the atmosphere there are is no evidence to show a reverse in these temperatures.
