Small Scale Waste to Energy
Ever wonder how to convert small scale waste to energy? Or how easy or hard the process is. For a few years now we have learned how to extract a large quantity of energy from a waste product and store it for future use.
This process involves taking waste such as left over food or animal byproducts and extracting heat sources to form energy. Common energy products of these sources include different natural fuels such as methanol or ethanol.
Methods of Converting Waste to Energy:
Gasification is the process of converting carbonic gases into re useable materials, in the form of fuels. Waste is heated to very high temperature’s which also purifies the gas of certain corrosive elements creating a very clean product. Organic materials work very well for this extraction process.
Although less common there are other methods of converting waste into energy, such as incineration. This is the combustion of organic materials into a more purified form. Despite being more efficient it is banned in many countries because if any hazardous substances are involved in the combustions process it’s a dangerous hazard to the atmosphere and a significant contributor to green house gases.
These techniques are very common throughout the world now and have been adopted by many different organizations.
